Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays at UVic Stadium
Time: 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

Schedule:
  • 20 minute warm up
  • 20 minute skill station #1
  • 20 minute skill station #2
  • 20 minute training
  • 10 minute cool down
 Skill stations will be an age appropriate selection of:
  • Sprint Starts
  • Hurdles
  • High Jump
  • Long Jump
  • Shot Put
  • Discus
  • Javelin
  • Triple Jump
 (Hammer and pole vault may be added in the future) Athletes will be grouped according to skill level and physical maturity when doing skill events and training. Training will include a variety of sprint training, middle distance running, relay running and shuttle (fun) relays on the infield, med ball throws and plyometrics.
Only athletes aged 14 and older will do sustained maximal efforts between 20 seconds and 2 minutes (anaerobic lactic).

Skill Progressions

All JD coaches are minimum Level 1 Certified
