Mount Douglas and Pacific Athletics athlete Kaitlyn Hayward was named to the Canadian World Youth Team to represent Canada at the World Youth Olympics in Singapore in August.  Hayward was selected based on her performance  at the National Legion Championships in August, 2009 in Sherbrooke, Quebec.   Recently she captured the gold medal in the 1500m steeplechase at the BC High School championships. Hayward will compete in the 2000m steeplechase in Singapore.
